Michael W. Newman was born in Florida and raised in Massachusetts. After graduating from Beloit College with a degree in Economics, he joined the successful Bush-Quayle ’88 Presidential Campaign and soon after the Inaugural Committee. Securing a position in USAID, he learned a great deal about the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government.
He then spent a year in Paris, France learning French literature and language at the Universite' Paris Sorbonne. Later he joined a labor work crew in Arlington, Virginia focused on Glorifying the Lord Jesus in all of a young man’s ways.
The second chapter of his life began and ended with a twenty-three year career as a teacher, mainly of English as a Second Language to recent immigrants and foreign students. During this time, Michael also had three of his novels self-published.
Michael's inspiration are his wonderful children, Emmannuela (17) and Mikey (15).
In this third chapter of life, Michael enjoys writing for a purpose, mixed martial arts training, learning foreign languages, and making himself available to meet anyone’s needs.
Michael trusts that his life experiences being fatherless and dealing with mental health issues will enable him to effect positive change in the lives of men and boys.
