Elevating Men & Boys With
Words of Inspiration and Encouragement

Meet the Author

"God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well."

Voltaire
Author/Philosopher

Michael "Newmie" W. Newman was born in Florida and raised in Massachusetts and Virginia. After graduating from Beloit College (Wisconsin) with a degree in Economics, he joined the successful Bush-Quayle ’88 Presidential Campaign and soon after the Inaugural Committee. Securing a political position in USAID, he learned a great deal about the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Federal Government.

He then spent a year in Paris, France learning French literature and language at the Universite-Paris Sorbonne. Later he joined a young men's labor work crew in Arlington, Virginia focused on Glorifying the Lord Jesus.

The second chapter of his life began and ended with a twenty-three year career as a teacher, mainly of English as a Second Language to recent immigrants and foreign students. During this time of critical spiritual growth, Michael learned bits & pieces of several foreign languages, and also had three of his travel novels self-published.

Michael's daily inspiration are his warm & lovely Peruvian wife, Julia ("The Contessa"), their wonderful (yet petulant!) children, Emmannuela "Marshmallow" (19)

and Mikey "Punkass" (17).

In this third chapter of his life now, Michael enjoys writing for a purpose, mixed martial arts training, extending himself in charity, and making himself available to meet anyone and everyone's individual needs.

All for the Honor and Glory of Him Above!

Michael trusts that his life-experiences being fatherless and dealing with mental health issues enable him to effect authentic, positive change in the lives of men and boys.
